Hi my name is Melanie Cunningham a wife and mum, and a Nurse practitioner with over 20 years working in the NHS. I teach about mindfulness meditation in a way that is accessible for all levels and it is my mission to inspire you to live the best, and most fulfilling life possible without obsessing and stressing over the inevitable anxiety that comes with life.
My mindfullness courses will cover stress and anxiety reduction , improving health and well being, reducing the risk of relapsing depression, and helping to break cycles of exhaustion and unhappiness. It can also help to reduce pain, improve concentration and build confidence. We will cover the theory of mindfullness and learn to practice informal and formal meditation methods of mindfullness.
Mindfullness means maintaining a moment by moment awareness of our thoughts, feelings, bodily sensations and surrounding environment. Mindfulness also involves acceptance, meaning that we pay attention to our thoughts and feelings without judging them. When we practice mindfullness our thoughts tune into what we are sensing in the present moment rather than focusing on past events or worrying about the future.
Over the last couple of years I have been devoted to learning as much as possible about emotional wellness and mindfullness so I can address the bigger picture and help YOU live the best life possible. I have earned a certification as a mindfulness teacher and i am making it my mission to educate people that there is a different way to achieve lasting health and wellness.
I presently run a hourly session over a eight week period within a group setting. They will be held in Horseheath a peaceful village in Cambridgeshire, 4 miles from haverhill, and 15 miles from Cambridge.
8 week courses start from £100 per course.
